Diploma Certificate Translation

It is very important that a diploma certificate translation or an academic transcript is accurate when translated into English from another language. There are many reasons why a diploma certificate translation is required. Many schools, colleges and universities may insist on checking the suitability of students before they are admitted for courses at U.S. educational institutions. Potential employers may need to verify that applicants are suitable for employment. Many visa types issued by the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Service (U.S.C.I.S.) depend on verification of educational qualifications.

There are five golden rules that should be followed when undertaking diploma certificate translation.

1.      Diploma certificate translations are not explanations of what the diploma is all about, but are accurate translations into another language relating the true meaning of the document to another person.
2.      A translation is distinct from a credential evaluation. An evaluation explains the meaning of the transcript. Specifically, it explains a student’s academic performance in terms of an education system and grading system other than the one where he or she originally went to school.
3.      Are you sure that the document you are going to submit for translation is actually required? Translators constantly report that they get more documents than are actually necessary. It’s a matter of checking carefully why you need your diploma translated and eliminating unnecessary documents. Note that different organizations, such as universities and colleges, employers and the USCIS may have different criteria when assessing documents.
4.      Good translations are unlikely to be at bargain basement prices. Cheap translations may not be error free and in the long run cost you more if the translation is returned because it does not fit the specifications.
5.      Check to make sure that the document you need to be translated is readable and that any further information that the translator may need to know in advance is supplied.

All of the five above rules all boil down to one simple overriding rule and that is that the translation must be as accurate as possible!
